My wife was reluctant to fly in a small plane, especially one that lands on the water, since she cannot swim and hates to fly! Your pilot immediately set her mind at ease and she had the time of her life. Thank You for making our Alaska Vacation that much better! Both landings were as sooth as silk and Oh the Scenery!

The weather was not cooperating the day we were in Ketchikan, we had been so looking forward to this part of our Alaska Vacation and were disappointed to learn we would not be flying. Your agent met us at the dock and informed us that you would have to cancel the trip and that she would issue a refund to our credit card. My wife was devastated, since she had planned this as a surprise for me. Your agent "Tina" made some suggestions on things to see in town and we exchanged phone numbers we had our cell phone with us. So off we went to walk around town, very disappointed.

After about an hour of shopping and flattening the credit card our cell phone rang and it was Tina - informing us that the fog had lifted enough to fly and asked where we were and if we still wanted to go Flightseeing? Of course our answer was yes, but that we were well across town and at our age would have difficulty walking back to the pick-up point. Tina said not a problem and asked us to just go outside of the store we were in and watch for her van, she would be there in a couple minutes. Sure enough the van came around the corner - we hopped in and drove the short distance to her office and plane dock and within about 15 minutes we were airborne on what proved to be an absolutely amazing tour.

The reason I am going in to so much detail is because when we returned to the ship that evening everyone was talking about how their flightseeing trips had been canceled and we told them our operator the Pirate took it upon themselves to find us when the weather cleared enough to fly and made special arrangements to pick us up and make our flightseeing trip happen! Our table mates were disappointed that they had chosen to book through the cruise line and there was no personal contact so they missed the opportunity.

Please thank Tina for us (again) and Thank You Pirate for having the wonderful people you have that go the extra mile! If not for them we would have been commiserating with our table mates!

You guys did the extra and it is appreciated!

Traveling with our Kids on our Alaska Cruise had one requirement, the kids wanted to see Bears so we signed up for the Misty plus Bears Tour. As parents we wanted the standard Misty Tour but the kids had to see bears while in Alaska! This combination seemed ideal and was just right!

As promised your pilot came through, we saw some bears feeding on a beach and we landed and motored up as close as we dared. The pilot stopped the plane and he even let the kids get out of the plane and stand on the floats so they could get some pictures of the bears! It was the highlight of their trip.

Dear Pirate Airworks

We arrived in Ketchikan in the most horrible rain storm and while standing on the dock wondering what in the world we could do in the rain. Your agent Tina approached us and said "I have two seats left on a flightseeing tour!"

We were reluctant at first but she assured us the plane would  keep us dry and the flight would be a fantastic way to see Alaska. So we decided on her recommendation to try it out.

It turned out to be the absolute highlight of our Alaska Cruise. Amazingly as we flew out of Ketchikan the rain let up a little and the scenery was unbelievable.

Thank You Tina for convincing us. Coming from sunny California we were perplexed at what to do in the rain.

Some of our shipmates went on other tours and were not as pleased. Your pilot made the trip, on our way back we went to his secret spot and saw a Mountain Goat and then some bears on a beach! None of the others saw any animals!

How can we ever thank you for making our remote cabin trip the best trip our group of scraggly fisherman had ever been on. We spent 4 years planning our trip and were just about to cancel the plans until we found your website and called your office.

You guys answered every one of our questions and assured us that you knew what you were doing and would make sure it went off without a hitch, up until that phone call we had so many questions unanswered that we were about to abort. We discussed what we wanted to catch and you recommended a specific cabin. You knew exactly what supplies we would need and quoted us to provide the cooking gear, a motor for the skiff with fuel and anything else we could possibly need. You met us at the airport and transported us to the hotel, you suggested we stay a night in Ketchikan to allow time for food shopping - you even provided us with a shopping list and menus. The hotel you suggested was right next to the shopping center so food shopping was a short walk away. After our morning shopping trip we packed our coolers and iced things down and called your office and the van arrived and took us to the plane. By mid-morning we were loaded in the plane with our supplies and off for our 35 minute flight to the mountain lake and cabin.

As we circled the lake your pilot even pointed out a few of his favorite spots on the lake to fish. After Landing, the pilot helped us unload and even helped carry things to the cabin, he showed us around, explained the oil stove, showed us where the wood was stacked and reviewed some safety rules and left us...it was a little scary as we watched the plane leave, knowing we would not be seeing him for nearly 5 days. He told us he would be back at around 9 am on Friday morning, weather permitting, to have our stuff packed and be ready to go.

After a great 4 days of fishing, we reluctantly packed everything up and sure enough at 9:15 we heard the familiar sound of OZ as she made her approach and landed. Loaded the plane and by 10:30 in the morning we were back in town all our gear packed for our return trip. The van took us to the same hotel, we showered and cleaned up and sadly left Alaska!

We could not have asked for a better more knowledgeable Outfitter! The pilot even gave us one of his favorite lures to use!
